Memorial Day Picnic—Volunteers Needed!
Memorial Day weekend will be here before you know it! On Monday, May 26 we will be having our annual church picnic at Rincon Valley Park in Santa Rosa from 11:00am–2:00pm. Be sure to look for details as the date draws near. We need some volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up, as well as cooking and organizing games. If you would like to help, please call Kim Hall at the church office.
Baby Bottle Fundraiser
The Pregnancy Counseling Center is having a baby bottle fundraiser between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. All you have to do is spend one month collecting your loose change in a baby bottle provided Pregnancy Counseling Center. We will be passing out baby bottles next Sunday, May 11, to be returned to the church on Father’s Day, June 15. If you are interested in participating, please see Kim Hall.
Celebrity Waiter Banquet & City Kids Festival
Last summer over 2,000 children from needy families in our community came to Julliard Park to enjoy a day of fun at booths set up by local churches, receive necessary school supplies, and listen to a gospel presentation. Our game and craft booths were loved by both children and adults. In preparation for this event, we look forward to the Celebrity Waiter Banquet, which is the annual fundraiser that makes City Kids possible. For the last two years our celebrity waiter, Darrell Brooker, has come in second place in the amount of tips received, and this is the year to push him over the top into first place! Both events are a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fun and fellowship, while ministering to the needy in our community. The Celebrity Waiter Banquet will be on Thursday, June 26, and the City Kids Festival will be on Saturday, August 23.
