All Church Luncheon
Following the worship service on October 18, please join the deacons and deaconesses for a potluck lunch where they will present their ideas for the new diaconate and take your questions.  Please bring a main dish to share and sign up at the information table.

Short Story Night
It’s time for another gathering of all the literary aficionados out there.  Our theme will be
It Was a Dark and Stormy Night…  To find out what this is all about, join us October 10, at 6:30pm at Gary and  Theresa Bruton’s home (215 Orange St. Santa Rosa).  If you need directions, call Gary or Theresa at 546-3544.  If you have questions about the night, call

ESL Children’s Ministry
As the new Fall classes have begun, we have noticed that we have some children hanging around while their parents learn English.  What a great opportunity we have to begin to build relationships with these children.  If you are interested in coming out on Monday nights and playing with some kids, please contact Kim Hall in the office or Rose Matthews (576-7507).  The plan is to keep this simple but fun.  All you need is a love for kids and some time available on Mondays from 7:00pm to 8:15pm.

Meals Ministry
Many of you have had the opportunity to be blessed by Nora Guthrie’s organization of our meals ministry and we are so thankful for all she has done. However, Nora will be gone during the month of October, so if you or someone you know is in need of the services of our meal ministry next month, please contact Patsy Driedger at 525-6199.

Rides Needed
There are some in our congregation who need your help in getting to church.  We need someone who is willing to take a couple to Sunday school and bring them back home after the worship service.  They live in the Piner/Marlow area.  We also need someone who is willing to take someone home after the service.  He lives in the Piner/Cleveland area.  If you can do either of these, please contact Daphne Cann at 566-7101.

Camp South Africa Banquet 2009
Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds is inviting you to their annual Camp South Africa Benefit Banquet. It will be held on Tuesday, October 20, at 6:30pm. For more information, contact Mervyn Coetzee at 874-3507 ext. 188.

Alliance Redwoods Legacy Retreat
